For parents

Last Defense · Build & Prove LLC

In short: if your child is under 13, the game plays in kid mode. It keeps only a random device ID, a guest account and your child’s game progress and settings, to save progress and keep the game working. No ads, no tracking, no chat, no social sign-in, and we never sell or share your child’s information. You can delete it all at any time.

What Last Defense is

Last Defense is a cartoon zombie tower-defense game made for players aged 9 and up. Players build defences and hold off waves of zombies. The zombies are cartoonish: their “blood” is green.

The age question and kid mode

The first time the game starts, it asks “What year were you born?” with a year picker that has no year chosen in advance. The game uses the answer only to decide whether your child is under 13 or 13 and older, and keeps only that, never the year. A player who turns 13 this year is treated as under 13, to be on the safe side.

That answer is kept in a small file on the device (on the web, in this website’s storage in the browser). It is not sent to us. The game does not ask again; if the answer needs changing, you can open Settings → Change Age, which first asks a grown-up question (see below).

Players under 13 play in kid mode, as “Guest (this device)”:

What we collect from children, and why

We use this only to save your child’s progress, keep the service secure and keep the game working. We never ask your child for a name, email address, photo, location or any other contact information.

What we never do

The grown-up question

In kid mode, before the game opens any link outside the game (such as this page, the Privacy Policy, the data deletion page or signing in on games.buildprove.com), it shows Ask a grown-up: a multiplication question written in words, such as “seven times eight”, answered by typing the number. After 3 wrong answers it locks for 60 seconds. Any purchase we might add in the future will be behind the same question.

In Settings you will find For Parents, Privacy Policy and Data Deletion (all behind the grown-up question), and Change Age.

How to review or delete your child’s information

Delete it in the game

  1. Open the game on the device your child plays on, connected to the internet.
  2. Open the Profile panel.
  3. In the Account section, choose Delete my account.
  4. Confirm. The game asks twice, because this cannot be undone.

This removes the account and saved progress from our game server right away. The button is always available, without the grown-up question. More detail is on the data deletion page.

Or email us

  1. In the game, open Profile, find the Account ID and press Copy.
  2. Email it to games@buildprove.com and tell us whether you would like to see what we hold, or have it deleted.

We take reasonable steps to make sure a request really comes from the child’s parent or guardian, and we may ask a few questions about the account. We reply within 30 days, and there is no charge.

Stop further collection

Delete the account as above and stop your child playing the game. If you would rather we do it, email us and we will delete the account for you.
